Ask Cal: Custom AI Answer

Ask Cal Custom Answers allows CaliberMind users to ask specific questions about any custom dataset and receive instant, plain-English insights. Marketing and sales teams can quickly analyze complex data sets beyond what is offered in our standard reports, unlocking deeper insights for data-driven decision-making and improved go-to-market performance.

Here's how to configure a custom answer:

  1. From the Home Page, navigate to the Admin section by clicking on the cog icon.
  2. Click on the Answers section of the Admin navigation
  3. Click the + button in the top right
  4. Select “Ask Cal Custom Answer”

  1. You will need to provide the following information to save this Answer:
    1. Name: this should be a descriptive name that helps you find this Answer going forward. You should make these names unique and related to the data output.
    2. System Instructions: this is where you tell Cal the information you are trying to receive. Creating the System Instructions is an art form. Here’s a link to some use cases with best practices that you can use to craft your own answer.
    3. List: this is where you select the dataset that you want Cal to review. Here’s a link to help you create a List.
    4. Delivery Frequency: this allows you to determine how frequently you want this Answer to be delivered (this is only applicable if you elect to set up Slack or Email delivery).
    5. UI - Email Tab: select recipients from your organization who you would like to have access to this Answer via email, or their My Answers Listing.
    6. Slack: if your organization has configured the Slack Push Connector you can select the channel you want this Answer delivered to based on the “Delivery Frequency” setting.
  2. Once you have finished configuring the Answer you can test it on the Answer tab or view it in the My Answers Listing.
  3. After the Answer has been configured, click the Create button
  4. You will now be able to see the delivery tabs labeled “UI & Email” and “Slack”
  5. On the “UI & Email” Tab you can select recipients in the dropdown and elect to have the Answer delivered via Email
  6. If you have the Slack connector enabled you can set up the delivery channel in the dropdown
  7. You’ll be able to find your configured Answers in the left navigation and select the Answer you want to see
  8. The tab will load the Answer in the lower area
  9. Click the caret to expand the section and view the current system instruction and which List is being employed

That's it! Your Ask Cal Custom Answer is now configured and available to use!
