Dashboard Collection Navigation

Streamlined Navigation for Scalable Reporting
We are excited to introduce a smarter way to navigate your data. Based directly on your feedback, we’ve enhanced our Dashboard interface to help Admins create a more focused, “locked-down” experience for their teams.
The Update: Collection-Aware Navigation
We’ve added a dynamic dropdown menu next to your dashboard tabs that automatically surface all other dashboards within a specific Collection. This makes it easier than ever for users to pivot between related views without losing their place or getting overwhelmed by the full dashboard library.
Why It Matters
- Simplify Onboarding: Admins can now clone a master dashboard, apply specific default filters (e.g., by region or business unit), and lock them. New users can toggle between these views via the dropdown, seeing exactly what they need without the confusion of complex filter configurations.
- Controlled Data Context: Standard users maintain the ability to adjust Date Ranges and Aggregations, but the core filter logic remains locked. This ensures data consistency across the team while still allowing for temporal analysis.
- Reduced “Dashboard Fatigue”: By grouping related insights into Collections, you provide a guided path for your stakeholders, keeping them focused on the metrics that matter most to their specific role.
Key Details to Know
- Collection-Specific: The new dropdown appears when a dashboard is accessed via a Collection.
- Direct Links: If a dashboard is accessed via a direct link (without a Collection ID) or from the “All Dashboards” list, the dropdown will not appear, as the system won’t assume which group of dashboards to display.
- User Permissions: Admins retain full control over filter settings so Standard users can enjoy a streamlined, read-only experience for core filters.
How to Get Started
To take advantage of this new navigation, ensure your key dashboards are organized into Collections. Once assigned, simply navigate to a dashboard within that Collection to see the new dropdown in action.
