CaliberMind Data Warehouse Access in Google BigQuery
In this article we will cover why administrators would want to set up data warehouse access in BigQuery for CaliberMind users, who they might give access to, and how to set up access for existing CaliberMind users as well as new users.
Why Utilize the Data Warehouse in CaliberMind
CaliberMind Admins may want to give engineers, data scientists, analysts, or marketing operations access to the organization’s data in the data warehouse at BigQuery for the purposes of:
- Running SQL Queries
- Exporting Lists
- Analyzing Data
- Quality Assurance
- Data Integrity
- Troubleshooting
Access Requirements
To gain access to BigQuery, your email address must be connected to a Google account.
An email address managed through a Google Workspace is a Google account by default. No additional action is required for these accounts.
If you have an email address not managed through a Google Workspace, like through Microsoft, then you must create a Google account.
A Google account can be created using an existing email address by following the instructions here (scroll down to “Use an existing email address”).
If you are unable to create a Google account using your work email address, then you will need to create Gmail account and add the Gmail email address as a data warehouse user.
Setting up Data Warehouse access for Existing CaliberMind users
- Go to the Settings Cog on the top right of the menu bar.
- Click the Account drop down list in the left menu rail
- Select Data Warehouse Access
- The Data Warehouse Access Edit screen will appear.

Click on the drop-down that says ‘Select from existing users’

Select the name of the user from your organization that you wish to give Google BigQuery Data Warehouse access.

You will see the user’s email address populate in the field to the right, confirm this is correct, and click the Blue ‘ADD USER’ Button.

That user will now be given Google BigQuery Data Warehouse access and you will see their email populated in the list of users that have access to the data warehouse.

Setting Up Data Warehouse Access for Non-CaliberMind Users
