Funnel Overview - Stage Analyzer Tab

This Dashboard shows you what is happening in a given stage.

In addition, we’ve introduced some new terminology that leads to some extremely powerful insights.

Event Timing:

  • Incoming Converting - the last real event that happened before journeys entered this stage
  • Outgoing Converting - the last real event that happened before journeys left this stage
  • Pressure - all events that occurred during this stage
  • Opening - the first real event that occurred during this stage 

Below is a comprehensive list of questions this page answers:

  1. What is the true event that kicks off a journey?
  2. What is the most common first event for a cohort of journeys?
  3. What is the first event of a stage?
  4. What is the last event of a stage?
  5. What are the touches between stages for a journey or cohort of journeys?
  6. How many journeys does a Converting/Opening/All event/s show up in?
  7. How many stages does a Converting/Opening/All show up in?
  8. If present, what percentage of events lead to stage advancement?
Important Note: All filters apply to all widgets as a rule

The KPI Metrics for the Stage Analyzer tab show you top level metrics for your Funnel’s current stage landscape. It lets you know which kinds of activities are leading to stage advancement.

  1. Most Frequent Converting Campaign - given the current set of filters, what is the most commonly occurring campaign for converting events.
  2. % Journeys Present - given the filter set, what percentage of journeys had the “Most Frequent Converting Campaign” touch occur at some point in the journey.
  3. Most Frequent Converting Event Type - given the current set of filters, what is the most commonly occurring event type for converting events.
  4.  % Journeys Present - given the filter set, what percentage of journeys had the “Most Frequent Converting Event Type” touch occur at some point in the journey.
  5. Total Number of Converting Events - given the current set of filters, what is the total number of converting events from this stage to later stages in the funnel. Note: a converting event is not required to occur for a journey to advance from one stage to another.
  6. % Stage Change with Converting Event - given the current set of filters, how many stage changes had a real “converting” event prior to the stage change. This helps you understand if the majority of journeys have placeholder events in this stage.

Top 10 Event Type by Journeys Stage and Successes

This chart is dependent on the user’s selection of Count of Percentage. This selection determines the visualization. By showing you the count of your grouping selection and the count of journeys that advanced, the user can find which of the group by selection is the most important.

  1. Title is dynamic based on your group by selection and whether you are looking at Journeys or Events.
  2. Displays how many journeys or events advanced with this group by selection (Count or Percentage).
  3. Displays how many journeys or events were present in journeys that were in this funnel stage.

Event Type by Count/Share of Journeys Over Time

This chart shows how impactful your Group by selection is in the selected stage with the selected filters applied over time. By showing the Advanced rate as well as the count, you can see what is really working, not just what is working the best based on a smaller sample size. For each month you can see both the Advanced rate and the Count of Events or Journeys over time.

  1. Event Type by Count/Share of Journeys Over Time - title is impacted by the Group by selection and your selection of Journeys or Events. Journeys only shows the group by selection once, regardless of how many times it displays in this stage. Events shows you a total count for how many times the Group by shows up in this stage.
  2. Time based grouping - the high level grouping underneath which you will find a column for Advanced.
  3. Advanced/Count - The lower based grouping Advanced shows you the percentage of journeys that advanced from the selected stage in this time frame with the current Group by selection. Count is showing you the total number of journeys or events that this Group by showed up during the time period.

Event Type by Journeys Detail

This chart shows you how impactful your Group by selection is in the selected stage with the selected filters applied. All count and share metrics are displayed.

  1. Event Type by Journeys Detail - dynamic name based on Group by Selection.
  2. Group by Event Type - dynamic based on Group by Selection.
  3. Journeys in Time Period - tracks the number of journeys in the selected time period that had the selected Group by event in this stage.
  4. Events in Time Period - tracks the number of events in the selected time period that had the selected Group by event in this stage.
  5. Share of Journey Advances - tracks the percentage of journeys in the selected time period that had the selected Group by event in this stage and advanced to a later stage.
  6. Share of Events Advances - tracks the percentage of events in the selected time period that had the selected Group by event in this stage and advanced to a later stage.
