Common Use Cases & Questions Answered with the Companies Tab

If you’re a Marketing Manager looking to understand how different industries engage with your brand over time:

  1. Set the "Group By" filter to "Industry."
  2. Utilize the "Contribution to Score Over Period" widget to view month-over-month engagement scores by industry.
  3. Analyze the "Contribution Over Time" widget to identify trends in contribution to the overall score by industry.
  4. Leverage insights to refine marketing strategies for specific industries.

If you're an Executive looking to gain a high-level summary of overall engagement and trends for strategic decision-making: 

  1. Review the KPI metrics at the top for a quick summary of active companies, active people, and overall engagement trends.
  2. Utilize the "Contribution to Score Over Period" and "Contribution Over Time" widgets for a broader understanding of engagement dynamics.
  3. Adjust filters to focus on key parameters relevant to strategic goals.
  4. Use the insights to guide executive decisions and resource allocation.

If you're a Campaign Manager looking to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns: 

  1. Select a period (e.g., Quarter) and Starting Period (e.g., This Period).
  2. Adjust the Number of Periods to Compare to focus on recent trends.
  3. Utilize filters to narrow down the analysis to specific Campaigns, Channels, or Opportunity Types.
  4. Analyze the Attribution Comparison chart and trend details to identify the effectiveness of Post-Opp Attribution and make informed decisions for future marketing strategies.

Companies Tab

This Dashboard shows you aggregated Engagement data and allows you to use several Group By options to tell different stories. This allows you to see what is creating the most engagement with your brand.

Important Note: All filters apply to all widgets as a rule.

The KPI metrics shown at the top display for the Summary, Companies, People, Campaigns, Explore:

  1. Active Companies: displays the count of all known Companies with a > 0 Engagement Score based on the filters applied
  2. Change Last 30: this metric relates to the Number of Companies and allows you to see whether you are trending in a positive or negative manner over the last 30 days
  3. 03 - High Engagement: based on the Engagement Index, which evenly distributes a ranking based on a 0-100 setup. This can be controlled on the Engagement Model Settings tab (Select Settings > Engagement > Scoring Models. Then select the default scoring model you are using, click to the Settings tab).
  4. Surging Accounts: displays the number of accounts that have reached the '03 - High Engagement' bucket in the past 7 days
  5. 04 - Most Engagement: based on the Engagement Index, which evenly distributes a ranking based on a 0-100. This can be controlled on the Engagement Model Settings tab (Select Settings > Engagement > Scoring Models. Then select the default scoring model you are using, click to the Settings tab).
  6. Surging Accounts: Displays the number of accounts that have reached the '04 - Most Engagement' bucket in the past 7 days.
  7. Active People: displays the count of all known People with a greater than 0 Engagement Score based on the filters applied
  8. Active per Company: this metric tells you on average how many people are engaged at each of your engaged companies

Contribution to Score Over Period (Top 5 by…)

This widget allows the user to see Aggregated Company Engagement by using a dynamic group by selection. By default we will be showing by Industry. You are also able to determine the look-back period by selecting a Date Period and Date Aggregation.

  1. The title of this widget is dynamic based on your Group By selection, in this case “Industry” was selected.
  2. The x-axis shows you a time range based on your selections of “Date Periods” and “Date Aggregation” in the filter drawer. An example of how to set this up would be to select “All Time” for the “Date Period,” “Month” for the Date Aggregation and “Industry” for the Group by Selection, this would then show you month over month Engagement Score by Industry for as far back as your Engagement Model goes. This helps you understand which Industry has been the most engaged with your brand recently.
  3. The legend on the chart will show the values based on the “Group By” selection you’ve made. In this case we have selected Industry and we see values like “Financial,” “Medical & Sciences,” “Professional Service,” etc.

Contribution Over Time (Top 5 by Industry)

This widget allows the user to see Aggregated Company Engagement by using a dynamic group by selection. By default we will be showing by Industry. You are also able to determine the look-back period by selecting a Date Period and Date Aggregation.

  3. The legend on the chart will show the values based on the “Group By” selection you’ve made. In this case we have selected Industry and we see values like “Financial,” “Medical & Sciences,” “Professional Service,” etc.

Company Detail

  1. Company Detail shows you Engagement Scores by Company and allows you to see a variety of related metrics
  2. Company displays the Company Name and allows the user to link to the Company Detail Overview with the selected company being shown
  3. Index Shows how your Engaged Accounts are grouped based on a distribution that you can customize on the Engagement Model Settings tab (Select Settings > Engagement > Scoring Models. Then select the default scoring model you are using, click to the Settings tab).
  4. Industry displays the Industry of the selected Company from the CRM
  5. Owner displays the Account Owner of the selected Company from the CRM
  6. Company Size displays the Company Size of the selected Company from the CRM
  7. Contacts displays the sum of the Contacts associated with the Company from the CRM
  8. Engagement Score displays the current Weighted Engagement Score
  9. Eng. Score Change Last 30 displays the Account Engagement Score Change over the last 30 Days
  10. Engaged People displays the count of unique People associated with the selected Company
  11. Scored Events displays the count of Events associated with the selected Company
